Great news for our Brighton-area passengers! Michigan Flyer is heading back to its normal boarding location at the Brighton Meijer beginning September 21, 2026.

After more than a year of operating from a temporary location in Whitmore Lake, we’re excited to return to Brighton as road construction near I-96 and Grand River Avenue nears completion.

πŸ“ Back to the Brighton Meijer

Starting September 21, Michigan Flyer passengers will once again board and exit at the south side of the Brighton Meijer parking lot.

Since March 2025, construction in the area required us to temporarily relocate our Brighton stop to the MDOT Park & Ride off U.S. 23 in Whitmore Lake. With that construction now nearly complete, we’re happy to bring our Brighton service back to its familiar location.

The Brighton Meijer stop offers several convenient amenities for passengers, including:

    • 🚌 A dedicated bus shelter
    • πŸ“ Real-time bus tracking
    • πŸš— Nearby parking available for $2.50 per day
    • πŸ›οΈ Convenient access to the Brighton Meijer and surrounding area

The stop is operated in cooperation with Meijer and Livingston Essential Transportation Services (LETS), helping connect Livingston County residents and visitors with convenient transportation options.

✈️ An Easy Way to Get to Detroit Metro Airport

Michigan Flyer provides 14 daily roundtrips between East Lansing, Brighton, Ann Arbor and Detroit Metro Airport, with service operating from approximately 3 a.m. to midnight.

Whether you're heading to the airport for a vacation, traveling for business, visiting family or simply looking for an alternative to driving and parking at the airport, Michigan Flyer offers a convenient way to get there.

Our return to Brighton also continues a longstanding partnership with the local community. Michigan Flyer has worked closely with Meijer, LETS, Livingston County officials and the Livingston County Transportation Coalition to provide reliable transportation options for residents and visitors.

πŸŽ‰ Welcome Back, Brighton!

We know many of our Brighton-area passengers have been patiently waiting for the return of the Brighton Meijer stop, and we're thrilled to finally make it happen!

Mark your calendar for September 21 and get ready to board Michigan Flyer from Brighton Meijer once again.

Thank you to our passengers and community partners for your patience and continued support throughout the temporary relocation. We look forward to welcoming you back!
